Can you shed some light on this table?

The owner of this table really does not know much about it, and we were hoping you could provide a little more information on this work of art. Getting the answers to some questions like --How old is it?---- Where would it be from?---- What is it worth?--- would be quite interesting.

We think it is Indian but could be wrong.
